U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final Generators: Basics and Application

Course Description: Over the years, U.S. EPA continually developed emissions limits for both emergency and non-emergency generator sets. For larger applications, a non-emergency generator is now subjected to emission levels commonly referred to as EPA Tier 4 Final. In this course, we will understand what those emission limits are, and the technology used to achieve them. The course is free of charge.

Objectives: After this course, you will be able to:
1. Identify which applications require EPA Tier 4 emission certification.
2. Explain the common technologies used to achieve these lower emission levels, and the pros and cons of the different technologies.
3. Specify additional installation, service, and certification requirements.
