Generator Rating and Emissions Basics

Course Description: Generator sets have ratings that are dictated by international standards. However, that can get confused with emission regulation in federal and local levels. In this presentation we look at how generator ratings and emission standards need to be looked at separately for an optimized and legal installation. The course is free of charge.

1. Describe the generator ratings standard in the industry.
2. Explain Federal EPA emission standards for different generator applications.
3. Identify methods used to further reduce emissions for local/ state requirements.
