Course Description: In this course we will discuss the why and how of generator sets. First, we will explore which codes and standards drive the need for generator sets. Then we will look at the building blocks of generators, how to apply them and what to look out for when installing an emergency power system. The course is free of charge.

1. Explain the fundamentals and components of emergency power systems.
2. Verbally identify some of the pros and cons when choosing between Gaseous and Diesel generator sets.
3. Specify and explain the applicable codes and standards for emergency power systems.
