Course Description: Water Utility applications have unique power generation needs. This course will describe what factors to consider when designing a water utility emergency or non-emergency power system, as well as what to include in specifications so the power system meets the site’s needs. This course is free of charge.

Objectives: After today's course you will be able to:
1. Explain the fundamentals of sizing emergency power systems specific to water.
2. Identify the different application needs, applicable codes and standards, and installation requirements for generator applications.
3. Specify the details for low and medium voltage paralleling switchgear designs.
