Paralleling 102: Documenting a Sequence of Operation

Course Description: The sequence of operation is one of the most important documents for a paralleling switchgear project. It is the basis for the operating instructions, the test procedures and the programming. In this course you will learn a systematic way to develop a sequence of operation that describes how the system works automatically, determine possible sequence failures, and how an operator can manually control the system. The course is free of charge.

Objectives: After this course, you will be able to:
1. Create a sequence of operation based on the project’s single line diagram.
2. Analyze a system for possible sequence failures and describe how the system should respond.
3. Create a test procedure to verify the system’s normal operation and response to failures.
